Application & Desktop Support Analyst

Major Responsibilities:
• Responsible for user support on the core banking & related satellite systems and desktop support.
• Assist with support of the bank’s core business systems.
• Responsible for problem analysis & coordination of solution implementation
• Participation in new module/application testing and implementation/upgrades for the bank.
• Cowork with first and third level support as a subject matter expert on the supported systems in order to resolve incidents and/or to fulfill requests received from the MIS, Help Desk, or other representatives.
Requirements:
• 3-5 years’ experience in business-related software applications with working knowledge of computer concepts and an understanding of system and data flow concepts
• Understanding of business operations and processes.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in an IT environment with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor other staff members.
• Experience working effectively in a team environment.
• Demonstrated customer orientation.
• Strong knowledge in Java based applications
• Experience on Linux or Unix operating system
• Knowledge on AS400 based applications (e.g. OLYMPIC, MIDAS PLUS, TEMENOS) will be a great advantage
• Understanding of reporting tools functionality and capabilities.
• Basic understanding of bank policies and directives.
• Intermediate knowledge of RDBMS concepts and experience with SQL Server 2005/2008 - e.g. understands indexing, standard database optimization, backup and recovery etc.
• Must demonstrate the ability to learn new applications quickly and to the detail required.
