Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the computer operations of IBM mainframe, AIX and Windows server platforms
- Operate and monitor the computer, network and data centre environmental facilities
- Operate peripheral devices
- Ensure scheduled computer jobs or production and acceptance tests are running successfully without error
- Ensure scheduled backup jobs are completed accurately and on time
- Monitor console messages and online systems
- Perform recovery routine as instructed in the event of hardware malfunction
- Record equipment problems, place service call and monitor the repair
- Assist in the resolution of problems related to the computer systems
- Perform shift duty on a 7x24 roster basis
Requirements:
- Form 5 with some formal training in computer studies
- Over 2 years' experience in data centre computer operations
- Able to communicate in written and oral English and Chinese
